sure thing! Not everyone wants to be dependent of a digital distribution platform, so don't worry about it
The Desura method is just more convenient with auto patches. You don't need to check your BMT micro Mail with the update link (that unfortunately some guys are deleting by mistake and then pasik has to manually resend it which is ok for a few guys but since the community is growing quite a bit, it may be a bigger deal in the future)
